I am the only licensed practitioner of the Hypno-Band™ Weight Loss System in Gloucestershire. This technique is designed for those who are either clinically obese or who are very overweight with a body mass index of more than 25 and with no underlying emotional problems.
How does it work?
By combining Suggestion Therapy, Visualisation, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) & Psychotherapy I will guide you through the process of having a Gastric Band fitted and create a state of mind where you will believe you actually have a band fitted! As far as your subconscious mind is concerned your stomach will be smaller and you will only be able to eat a smaller amount of food yet still feel full.
All in 5 easy stages
Session 1
A FREE initial consultation is carried out to determine if you are suitable for the Hypno-Band™ system.
- We will evaluate your eating habits and weight history.
- A full Body Composition Report will be taken and your BMI (Body Mass Index) is checked.
- A medical history is taken and a Client Intake Form completed and signed.
- The process of having a Hypno-Band fitted is explained fully.
- A detailed Questionnaire will determine how and why you over eat, any unhelpful thoughts or behaviours will be discussed.
- We will then complete a Changing Behaviour form which highlights thoughts and behaviours. From this we will then look at Behaviour modification
Please note that not everyone is a suitable candidate and only those deemed to benefit from the procedure will continue to the next stage.
Session 2
A detailed assessment is formulated specifically for you using the information gathered in session 1.
- Your first hypnotherapy session takes place. Details gained from your personal assessment are incorporated into this session which is tailored specifically to you.
- You will be provided with a CD which must be listened to at least four times before Session 3 which takes place a week to two weeks later.
Session 3
We will recap over Session 2.
- Introduction to the Hypno-Band virtual surgery system
- You will be taken through a consultation with the surgeon under hypnosis. Gastric band surgery is described in detail.
- You will be prepared for the next session which is the ‘actual’ surgical procedure.
Session 4
Recap over Session 3.
- Surgery takes place under hypnosis. You will be taken through gastric band surgery from pre- med to recovery.
- You will be provided with advice and information on behaviour modification and eating habits.
- You will be provided with a second CD which must be listened to at least once a day for a week.
Session 5
This Session takes place 2 – 4 weeks after Session 4 and provides an opportunity to adjust your Hypno-Band where necessary ie it will be either loosened or tightened. If you are satisfied with your experience since Session 4 a Reinforcement Hypnosis session will take place
- A full Body Composition Report will be taken and your BMI (Body Mass Index) checked.
- We will discuss your progress and new eating behaviour
- Reinforcement or (where necessary) adjustment of your Hypno-Band will take place
- Further advice on healthy eating and lifestyle
- You will be advised to continue to listen to the CD provided in Session 4
